Welcome – what do you need to know?
The decision to start yoga, or come back to the practice means you are caring for your health and well-being.
Classes are on Zoom and Fotheringhay Village Hall.
Maximum 12 students and I ask you to pre-book for Village Hall please.
Can I eat before a session?
It is advisable to have finished your meal 2 hours before your class. A light snack can be okay depending on how your body feels.
What should I bring?
Please bring your Yoga mats (non slip, normally 6ft in length if you are buying one), blocks or small cushion and a blanket with you each week. Turn Off your mobile phone please. Bring a strap if you have one (or you can just use 2 old ties tied together or dressing gown belt).
What should I wear?
Wear loose comfortable clothing – layers to take on and off are recommended. Please have some warm clothing to put on before the relaxation session. Jewellery is not recommended. Bare feet are best for yoga posture work.
How do I book? How much is each class?
All classes are 1 hour 15 minutes. My Saturday Zoom class is 8.00am. Thursdays zoom 5pm £8.00 per class. (or £10 for 2 zoom classes). Email for details.
I teach 2 classes in Fotheringhay Village Hall on a Tuesday 1.45pm & 7.00pm start – £10.00 per class. Pre-booking essential. 12 students per class maximum.
Can I arrange a one to one session?
Yes! This is a great way to kick-start your yoga practice, or explore the postures in more detail. The cost is £40.00 for an hour session, but you can split the cost between 2 if this is more suitable.
Feeling unwell or aches and pains?
Please let me know if there are any health problems or injuries affecting your yoga practice. Also if you feel unwell in a class let me know. If you are pregnant please do let me know.
What happens in bad weather?
In the event of icy or foggy weather, please check on 07847 547125 that the class is on. Additionally I will ring as best I can to let students know of a cancellation.
How can I contact you?
My phone number is 07847 547125 mobile or email nancy@94a.co.uk
Important Reminder
In Yoga you listen to your body. It is how you feel today, now, not what you want to do, not what you did in the last session, not what someone else is doing.
Further Questions?
Please feel free to get in touch, or ask me any questions at the end of the session.
Finally
A British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) handout about yoga will be available at the first class.
Do look at their website www.bwy.org.uk
Thank you and I look forward to being on this journey with you. It will be fun and possibly the start of something unique.
